A sure fired favourite for any party is fresh homemade lemonade with floating slices of LEMON. To avoid spillage marking wooden surfaces it is suggested that the punch and LADLE be set up on a LAMINATED BENCH TOP where spillage is easily wiped off. The following recipe is a longtime family favourite
LEMONADE
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar - for sugar syrup
1/2 cup water - for sugar syrup
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
6 cup water extra, (carbonated water is sometimes refreshing)
Directions:
To make sugar syrup, bring equal parts of sugar and water to a boil, stir until sugar dissolves, and remove from the heat. Cool before using. Store unused syrup in a covered container in the refrigerator.
Put the lemon juice, sugar syrup and water in a punch bowl and stir. Add ice to chill. Float lemon slices.

Spectacular. Now did you really make the lemonade and take that photo? Your kitchen is too cleanand tidy!
Oh Cinzia thank you thank you thank you... I was only wondering yesterday about what to do with the excess of Lemons I have at the moment so your recipe is just perfect and the family are all here this weekend as well! Wonderful!! Oh and the photo is very clever as well, Love it:-)
Yes I did make the lemonade... admittedly about four weeks ago and my ladle is nowhere near as smart as the pictured one and my punch bowl in reality is a huge metal boiler but hey I could say my kitchen is that spick span... saying is like hoping isn't it?
Well you are a newbie since I have been away and so clever with the lemonade looks delicous.
All the food this week! We gnomes are getting hungrier by the minute!
Oooo, all categories beautifully covered, and a recipe as well. Excellent!
Beautiful! I'm licking my lips!
There's a clue in your layout, too!
I think I'm going back to the supermarket for lemons, or perhaps the garden centre for a lemon tree. :)
On this 39 degree day in Melbourne, that lemonade looks so good.
Very clever picture and post. C
Great work, Cinzia - You're practical as well as creative!
